Careers

We're building a team of curious generalists who want to work on education technology, R&D, and things that haven't been done before.

What it's like here

Uncascade is small, fast, and opinionated. We build learning platforms and educational technology that actually works. Our flagship product Edukamentas serves learners across Lithuania, and we're expanding into mental health courses, teacher training, and more.

We value R&D freedom. If you have an idea, you can prototype it. If it's good, it ships. If it's not, you learned something. We don't punish experiments that don't work out — we celebrate the ones that teach us something.

We're science-backed and no-BS. We'd rather be honest about what we don't know than pretend to have all the answers. And we'd rather build one great thing than ten mediocre ones.

Uncascade team

Open positions

Join our dynamic and innovative team at Uncascade, where we strive to push the boundaries of technology and creativity. We are looking for a versatile Tech Generalist who can contribute across various domains and help us achieve our ambitious goals.

You'll be working across the entire stack — from designing user interfaces to building APIs, managing infrastructure, and shipping features end-to-end. We don't believe in narrow specialization. You should be comfortable picking up whatever tool or language the problem demands, and equally comfortable throwing away code that isn't working. This role is for someone who builds with intention and cares deeply about craft.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications
  • Design and implement user interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Optimize performance and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Create course content for Edukamentas, Resapienti, and Virtusmento. You translate complex topics into clear, engaging learning experiences that are informed by research and focused on the student.

This isn't about filling templates. You'll be shaping how thousands of learners encounter new ideas for the first time — choosing the right metaphor, structuring the right sequence, deciding what to leave out. You'll work closely with our product and research teams to ensure every course is pedagogically sound and genuinely useful.

We're especially interested in people who read research papers for fun, who notice when a course explanation doesn't quite land, and who obsess over making hard concepts feel simple without dumbing them down.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop science-backed course curricula
  • Write clear, engaging educational content for diverse audiences
  • Design assessments, exercises, and interactive learning activities
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to shape the learning experience
  • Iterate on content based on learner feedback and data
  • Review and maintain existing course materials for accuracy and relevance

Requirements

  • Background in education, instructional design, psychology, or a related field
  • Strong writing skills — you can explain hard things simply
  • Comfort with research literature and evidence-based approaches
  • Experience creating digital learning content or curricula
  • Ability to give and receive honest, constructive feedback on content
  • Lithuanian language fluency is a strong plus

Work on our R&D projects: AI automation, language learning tools, adaptive learning systems, and whatever comes next. You'll prototype fast, test ideas rigorously, and help turn research into real products.

This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable reading a research paper and writing production code. You'll spend your time at the intersection of "what if?" and "let's ship it" — exploring new ideas, building proof-of-concepts, running experiments, and turning the best results into features that real users depend on.

We don't have a rigid roadmap for R&D. You'll help define it. If you have a hypothesis about how to improve learning outcomes using AI, you'll have the freedom and resources to test it. What we care about is rigour, speed, and intellectual honesty.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and build experimental tools and systems
  • Explore AI/ML applications for education and learning
  • Design and run experiments to validate hypotheses
  • Translate research findings into product features
  • Stay current with academic literature and emerging technologies
  • Document findings and share knowledge with the wider team

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Experience or deep interest in AI/ML, NLP, or data science
  • Ability to read and apply academic research papers
  • Comfort with rapid prototyping and iterative development
  • Statistical literacy and experiment design fundamentals
  • Curiosity above all — you want to figure out how things work
